BOARD GAME DESIGN
The task was to design a board game centred around Mumbai, inspired by Moksha Patamu and Snakes & Ladders. In this game, players move across the board, encountering iconic landmarks and completing heritage-based tasks that raise awareness of Mumbai’s culture, history, and the importance of preserving its built and living heritage. Mumbai is rapidly developing, with numerous flyovers and bridges reducing our commute times. However, the persistent potholes continue to slow us down and inconvenience commuters. This contrast inspired the game's name: "Flyovers & Potholes." The project began with initial sketches to develop a specific style and colour scheme suitable for printing on Khadi cloth. Then I collaborated with my house carpenter to develop a design for the pawns and dice.
