NK FILM PUBLICITY
Brief: To design publicity material for a Konkani (Goa) feature film, Nachom-ia Kumpasar (Let's dance to the rhythm). Set in the late 1960s, this movie is a tragic love story of a Saxophonist & Bandleader, Lawry and Singer Donna, against the vibrant jazz music scene in the city of Mumbai. The film director Roy (Bardroy Barreto), has grown up on this music and it occupies a very special place in his heart. For Roy, the imagery of this story, takes him through Mumbai in the late 60s, where the sounds of jazz filled the streets of Churchgate up to Marine Drive, where souls of Goan musicians thrived at night and filled up the 'Kudds' of Girgaum in the day. These musicians created a kind of history in those times… It is kind of a tribute to the unsung Musicians of Goa.
